ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

An Account Executive for Autumn Communications is responsible for managing and answering the needs of the client on a daily basis. Account Executives play a primary role on their core teams, and must have excellent media relationships, written and organizational skills. The ideal candidate can handle a broad variety of tasks with increasing independence and sound judgment. 

Key Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Create and write effective pitches to continuously secure media coverage in the form of meaningful features and roundups.

  • Strong relationships with key media.

  • Ability to build relationships and network with colleagues and clients.

  • Contribute to media strategies in alignment with client objectives. 

  • Utilize Muck Rack to create thorough and up-to-date media lists, as well as researching and learning new media on an ongoing basis.

  • Draft press releases, pitches, plans, etc. with minimal edits.

  • Ability to oversee junior staff, review media lists and provide constructive feedback.

  • Review call agenda and reports.

  • Draft competitor analysis and trend spotting and relaying findings to clients.

Education / Experience:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree

  • 2 – 3 years of industry experience
